Collection and Transport
- Anticoagulant: Uses CPD (citrate phosphate dextrose), a standard anticoagulant, in its collection bag.
- Kit Stability: The kit has gel packs and thermal insulation to maintain room temperature.
- Transport Logistics: A medical courier service transports the collected unit to the lab.
Stem Cell Processing
StemCyte offers two primary processing methods or family units, which can be performed either manually by technicians or with automated Sepax equipment.
- Standard Method: StandardCell® is most commonly used processing method.
- Premium Processing: MaxCell® yields a higher recovery of total nucleated cells and also removes plasma (depletion).
Storage Bag
StemCyte utilizes a five-chamber bag to provide multiple smaller volumes for potential future use.
